Friends Giving

Dinner table is set!

The heart of fall and cold winter months is routed in meaning of gathering… and eating. Surrounding one’s self with great company gracious vibes and good food. That’s where I come in for the holiday season. I’m also not bad party entertainment (wink wink).

I got setup in picture-perfect kitchen that felt like a scene from an episode of cribs. My eyes gazed at an elegant 20 seat wooden table; stretching across gleaming glass sliding doors overlooking an ice cold inground pool with guests relaxing by a coal fire before their dinner. This gorgeous private estate in Michigan was my home for the evening.

1st course of the evening was a plate of raw spinach accompanied with fresh red beets, crumbled goat cheese and a refreshing yuzu vinaigrette which kept garnishing compliments. Now I gotta make more (ಥ﹏ಥ)

Crusted queso mac & cheese with roasted brussel sprouts

What is Thanksgiving without a sexy pan of macaroni and cheese? Disgrace upon your family and unborn children that’s what (unless you’re GF then please forgive me). Course two was a spicy jalapeno and garden chili mac & cheese layered with chihuahua cheese and chunks of gouda. Tossed together in a creamy red pepper roux and topped with garlic parmesan bread crumbs. The secret in your mac game lies in deciding if you like it saucy and creamy of thick and cheesy.

PSA: BUY YOUR TURKEY AHEAD OF TIME. THEY WILL BE SOLD OUT AND EXPENSIVE AS S%^T THIS YEAR.

Roasted turkey breast sliced thin to win, ladled with glistening thyme gravy and the perfect cranberry sauce to serve at any holiday table. The guests COULD NOT stop talking about and asking for more rolls that were made fresh first thing before dinner service started.

After the folks got up, stretched, and got some more amazing wine into their bodies their dessert stomachs were primed and warmed up for a lil sum sweet. A deconstructed pumpkin cheesecake with a blend of almonds, hazelnuts, fresh pumpkin and seeds roasted with honey and brown sugar. The finishing piece was a special 3D white chocolate moon and caramel drizzle.

Tis the season everybody. I'm unsure if I’ll cater on Thanksgiving day as I have a lot of requests on my board now but; plan a special friends giving or early and/or late turkey day celebration with some of your loved ones. Happy big Sunday yall.

Cheers

CJ
