Goodbye & Gratitude
As of August 12th 2021, I have officially resigned from my position at the Chicago Bears Stadium as a Chef de Partie. In 2016 I attended the James Beard Awards as a volunteer and was a chef assistant alongside Chef Lamar J. Moore and Bridget Mooney. Little did I know that one night would leave me inspired, eager, and with the biggest challenge I had faced in my career after cooking for only 3 years. That very evening I was offered a position by former Executive Sous Chef, Chef Bridget Mooney.
For almost 6 years I have been the Chef de Partie overseeing the catering operations at the stadium. The menus, guests, and events seemed to always hold a new experience and ultimately change how the day was planned. Is it a Bears VS Packers game where the entire city is on the edge of their seats with intense rivalry or a BTS concert with eager fans of all age groups and cultures ready to share their love of gifted musical artists? Between you and me some folks really came for the food but we not gonna go there…
Employee of the month 2018
I am forever grateful for the opportunity I captured to learn as a cook, grow as a professional, and find myself as a person. My chef once quoted Macho Man Randy Savage and said “The cream will rise to the top.” and I believe that I did just that. I was the youngest person to be hired into my position so from the beginning my expectations were set to surpassed. I had many failures growing in my position that I later realized were important lessons I needed to experience.

Over the pandemic I got a mouthwatering taste of what it feels like to be an entrepreneur and though opportunities continued to arise that did not put my job’s schedule on hold. My decision was based on just that. My newfound hunger and drive to create a future where I am successful and own my 24 hours in the day. I have nothing but love for the amazing people, mentors, and colleagues I’ve come to know at Solider Field, this is just the beginning.
