Easiest Chicken Katsu

A perfect chicken katsu that’s light on calories, flavorful, and cooked in under 10 minutes for any dietary restrictions in an air fryer!

Yield: 2 servings

Katsu:

- 1 large egg

- 1 cup (60g) panko bread crumbs

- ¾ pound (340g) chicken breast cutlets (about 2 chicken breasts)

- green onion, chopped for garnish

- Salt & pepper to taste

- avocado oil cooking spray

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C°) according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

  2. In a shallow bowl, beat egg and salt lightly. Pour panko bread crumbs on a plate.

  3. With one hand, dip each cutlet into egg mixture, allowing excess to drip back into the bowl. With your dry hand, turn cutlets in bread crumbs until both sides are coated well.

  4. Press the cutlets gently into the crumbs. Set on a piece of parchment paper. Spray each side with cooking spray and place in the basket of the air fryer.

  5. Air-fry for 5 minutes, flip, and air-fry for an additional 4 minutes. Serve with favorite sauce and garnish with green onions.
